The chipped plastic board from first year has done its time. Whether it's a first job or a PhD, they'll need kitchen kit that lasts longer than a tenancy.
A bamboo board with the periodic table on it is a grown-up upgrade with a bit of their degree built in.
Put the degree on it, and the year
Type their name, degree and year as the engraving, for example "Priya Patel, BSc Chemistry, Class of 2026". It sits under the periodic table, so the board reads as theirs from across the room.
Check the spelling of their name twice. We engrave exactly what you type, though we'll email if anything looks wrong.

Cash is the default graduation present, and it's usually gone on rent by September. A board sits on the worktop and comes out every time they cook, which for most graduates is more often than they'd admit.

Bamboo is harder than most hardwoods, so it shrugs off knife marks and stains. It wants a hand wash and a wipe of oil once a month. That's the whole care routine, and it's short enough that a graduate will actually do it.

Questions we get asked
Can you engrave their degree and graduation year?
Yes. Type it as the engraving, for example 'Priya Patel, BSc Chemistry, Class of 2026'. We engrave it exactly as written, so check the spelling of their name, and we'll email you if anything looks off.
Can I send it straight to them?
Yes. Put their address as the delivery address at checkout. The 'With Love' gift tag arrives blank for writing on, so if you're sending it direct, put your message in the engraving or add a note to your order.
How does the board + spoon offer work?
Pick your board and a spoon on this page and add them as a set. 15% comes off both, and the code is applied for you at checkout. Each piece gets its own engraving, so you can put names on the board and a date on the spoon (or the other way round).
How long does delivery take?
Every item is made to order in our Hampshire workshop. We engrave and dispatch within 2 to 3 working days, then Royal Mail or Evri deliver. Allow 7 to 10 days in the UK to be safe, and add 3 to 5 days for international orders.
How do I clean it? Is it dishwasher safe?
Hand wash with warm soapy water and dry it upright. Never put a bamboo board in the dishwasher; the heat and soaking make the wood swell and split. Wipe spills off the engraved side rather than scrubbing it.
Bamboo or wooden chopping board: which is better?
Bamboo is harder than most hardwoods, so it resists knife marks and stains, and it regrows in a few years. Hardwood boards are heavier and kinder to knife edges but cost more and need more care. We use bamboo because it takes laser engraving cleanly and stands up to daily use.
